This August “ENERTY” joined the closed-end investment fund “ORION Alternative Energy Fund” and became one of the shareholders of the biggest future wind farms in Lithuania.
The construction of 45 MW wind farm in Mažeikiai will be started in 2015. It is planned that this wind farm will produce about 148 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electric energy per year. This amount will constitute about 1.6 per cent of all electric energy used in Lithuania annually.
‘We are glad to be able to contribute to the creation of more ecological renewable energy in Lithuania. It is important for us to be a part of renewable energy project. In the near future we will continue to invest in similar projects, this way contributing to the extraction of alternative energetic resources,’ Žydrūnas Stankevičius, the CEO of “ENERTY”, states.
